THE FILM

LOGLINE: A granddaughter sets out to bring a vintage truck back to life and keep her grandpa's spirit alive.

SYNOPSIS: Using archival 8mm film and VHS footage shot by the main characters, THE GREEN TRUCK retraces the story of a 1950 pickup and the relationship of its two owners. Touching upon themes of working class California history, kinship care and the freedom of the open road - this film is more than a story about a truck. It’s a granddaughter’s ode to her hero, the man who encouraged her to chase the dreams and adventure he wasn’t able to pursue.

This is the first independent film by Emmy and Peabody-award winning filmmaker and journalist Nicole Noren, with music by two accomplished artists from the same area of California - M. Ward and Grammy winner Todd Hannigan
